Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

We have an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) whose members work with practice staff and doctors to help improve services for our patients.

Our PPG was established in 2013 and:
  • contributes to the continuous improvement of services and quality of care
  • fosters better communication between that practice and patients
  • provides practical support for the practice and helps implement change
  • conducts patient surveys and takes up patients concerns with the practice
  • helps patients to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing

The key purpose of the PPG is to gain patients views and suggestions on practice services and give constructive feedback to the practice.  Patient confidentality is maintained by the PPG in discussion of issues raised by patients and in feedback to the practice.

The PPG produces a quarterly newsletter with practice and PPG news which is available in the practice and on the lastest news page of our website.  The group meets four times a year and is a member of the National Association for Patient Participation.

New PPG members are welcome.  If you’d like to know more about the PPG or have any queries, suggestions or concerns about the practice or local health services you’d like to raise with the PPG, don’t hesitate to contact us – by letter care of the practice or email janicewingett@greenwichhouse.co.uk

Suggestions for future newsletter articles are also welcome.

Chair of the PPG is Janice Wingett
